On page 1 of the January 25 edition of the Wellington Advertiser, MPP Ted Arnott is quoted as saying “I don’t think that it’s a coincidence that the government has announced the construction of dozens of new schools across the province at a time when the education system is in turmoil. It’s clearly a strategy to shift attention away from the problems that they’ve created.” Mr. Arnott should have more accurately used the words “we’ve created”. I encourage Mr. Arnott to stand tall and to shoulder the blame for the part he has played in the current turmoil in schools. He and his Progressive Conservative party stood shoulder to shoulder with the Liberal government and voted in favour of passing Bill 115 which has created the turmoil in schools today.
