The blue ribbons you see all over Centre Wellington and beyond send a powerful message: our water needs to stay here for the people of the township and not be packaged into single-use plastic bottles for profit. The moratorium on new permits to pump water is in place until January 2019, which means that the fight isn’t over!
If you are displaying one or more ribbons at your home, thank you! We’ve noticed that some of the ribbons on trees are getting a little snug. Please check yours and remove or loosen it as necessary, and remind your neighbour to do the same. If you need a new one, they can be found at many local retailers, or contact us at saveourwater.ca
