I writing to you regarding the new school board’s policy for French Emersion.
I think it is ridiculous that we are limiting the number of students allowed to attend French class. It is my understanding that Ontario is a bilingual province therefore, why are we going to deny children/parents their right to learn our official language?
It seems to me there is a simple fix here in Erin for this. Why don’t you get Brisbane to be a French only school ? Have the English students then transfered to Erin public which is under used? Even going a step further to close Ross R McKay which is under enrolled. These are hard decisions but ones that would put our area at an advantage by focusing resources to 2 full schools instead of 3 partially filled schools.
