$2 a bag? or 100% price increase.
Since when is a 100% increase in a service acceptable? The answer to that is when it is a government operation and the taxpayer is being held hostage.
I have no issues with nominal price increases, but it appears that the norm now by government agencies is to increase anything at an arbitrary rate, and lets not forget the creation of new “fees”.
Is it fair to assume now that with the new price increase that the person picking up the garbage will clean up the whole mess that is left when the local critters pillage and destroy the bag placed at the end of the road for pick up?
I would prefer to have my garbage picked up at the road, however we do not all live in town type of environments. First off I have to put the garbage bag in my truck, its a very long driveway, as long as it is in the truck I might as well just take it to the dump avoiding critter clean up, which is guaranteed. It probably costs me $3 in gas for a return trip.
If critter cleanup is included please let me know, I will gladly pay the $2 hostage fee and save myself some time and fuel.
