Dear editor,
What’s wrong with society? Jim Trautman thinks it’s the overly vocal Christians. He feels imposed and persecuted because the Christians are trying to tell him how to live.
This country was built on Christian morals. The idea of loving one another, working together, and living in peace shaped our constitution. I hate to point out the obvious, but the Christian mentality was a major factor in that.
Believe it or not, Christians generally work at guarding society’s best interest. Without a moral platform to stand on, we will end up in a self indulging free-for-all of a country which, contrary to what you might think, is not healthy!
On the other hand, killing off people who don’t want to live would free up more hospital beds/funding… and terminating unwanted pregnancies is one less mouth to feed… hey, while we’re at it, we might as well eliminate all those ‘suffering’ with handicaps, that would be better for them… NAH! That ain’t cool! That’s the road we travel without Christians being there to guard life.
Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it. Christians are constantly learning about history. God’s story is history (his-story). We’ve seen where this road leads, and it benefits no one.
