Learn about ‘Farm Gate to Dinner Plate’ with 4-H.
Are you between the ages of 9 and 21? Interested in learning more about where local food comes from? Join the Eramosa 4-H Beef Club this year.
4-H is an organized youth program that focuses on developing leadership skills including public speaking, communication, decision making, parliamentary procedure, meeting management and networking. This year members of the Eramosa 4-H Beef Club will learn about the life cycle of beef animals, how to train an animal to lead and show a calf at the fair.
No experience is required and one does not have to come from a farm to join. The Eramosa 4-H Beef Club meets monthly from April to October, including the achievement day at the Fergus Fall Fair.
The Eramosa 4-H Beef Club is hosting its first meeting Thursday April 16, beginning at 7:30 pm at the Wallace Farm, Elora. New members are always welcome. Interested in joining or learning more about the Eramosa 4-H Beef Club? Contact Allan Wallace 519-846-9712 or Scott Bessey 519-843-5083.
