The last Gallery Concert before the holiday season will take place on Nov. 27 at 2pm at the Wellington County Museum and Archives.
The concert will open with Little Suite for Autumn by American composer Peter Schickele.
The string duo is one of Schickele’s best known classical compositions, organizers state.
The duo is performed by Phillip Coonce on violin and Henry Janzen on viola.
Three Madrigals, written in 1947 by the Czech composer Bohuslav Martinu, will follow played by Buon Park on violin and Janzen on viola.
The Madrigals echo Martinu’s roots in Bohemian-Moravian folk themes and dances.
During the brief intermission the audience can view the exhibit Winter in Red and White in the concert hall.
The program concludes with the Mozart String Quintet No. 4 in G Minor played by Coonce and Park on violin; Luca Casciato and Janzen on viola; and Lynn Wei on cello.
The Gallery concert Series is a volunteer organization.
Tickets are $10.
