Kiss and Cry, a romantic drama based on the true story of Carley Allison, a promising 18-year-old figure skater and singer who finds love just as she is diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, is coming to the Gorge Cinema.
The film stars JUNO Award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk, Luke Bilyk and Sarah Fisher – who plays Carley Allison, her real-life best friend.
Carley Allison made national headlines when she was undergoing treatment for her extremely rare one-in-3.5-billion form of cancer.

Kiss and Cry will screen on June 23 at 2pm at The Gorge Cinema in Elora.
The director of the film, Sean Cisterna, will be in attendance and participate in a post-screening question and answer period.
Tickets are $20 and are available at the Gorge Cinema with the film presented in partnership with the Sarcoma Cancer Foundation of Canada.
The Sarcoma Cancer Foundation of Canada is a volunteer-run national organization dedicated to supporting sarcoma patients and their families.
Its mandate also includes working with Canada’s leading research institutions in their efforts to eradicate sarcoma as well as raising awareness of the disease.
Sarcoma cancer, the illness that took the life of Canadian icon Terry Fox, attacks connective tissue of the body, causing tumours in muscles, bones and fat and blood vessels. It occurs in both children and adults.
