Key surveys launched in Centre Wellington

Two surveys have been launched for residents here.

The 2018 Budget Allocator and the Parks, Recreation and Culture Master Plan are now available online.

Budget Allocator

Through Connect CW, township staff have created a budget allocator to let residents share their expectations of public services and the actual expenditures.

Residents will be asked to either increase, decrease or maintain the budget on 12 services that impact their lives. The services range from the Victoria Park Seniors Centre to recreation facilities to winter sidewalk plowing.

Visual and text indicators outline options to residents, allowing them to know exactly how their responses are being tracked in achieving a balanced budget.

The Budget Allocator survey will be open until Nov. 5 at www.connectcw.ca.

Master plan

The Parks, Recreation and Culture Master Plan survey will give staff and project leads a greater understanding of local leisure participation and priorities.

To provide direction for these important community assets over the next 10 years, it is imperative for staff to update the master plan to reflect changes in the community, growth targets and to meet residents’ needs, officials say.

The survey is open until Nov. 3 at www.connectcw.ca.

For more information, or to request a paper copy of either survey visit www.connectcw.ca or email parks@centrewellington.ca.
