Works in the Minto Arts Council’s Juried Art Show, which opened on May 4, have now been judged. However there’s still time for the public to vote for the People’s Choice award before winners are announced at a public reception.
The reception will be held on May 20 from 7 to 9pm and votes may be cast up to May 19 at the Minto Art Gallery, located upstairs at the Harriston library.
The show, which continues until June 6, features 24 pieces of art, including pottery, stained glass acrylic, oil and encaustic medias, created by 10 artist from across the region. Participating artists are: Cheryl Gimblet, Mount Forest; Susan Nichol, Kincardine; Sonia Day, Belwood; Shelagh Reinhardt, Palmerston; Dorothy Lind, Durham; Steven Ferris, Erin; Alexandra Cooke, Palmerston; Claudia Strelocke, Priceville; Hali Morgan-Panuncio, Palmerston and Debbie Near of Guelph.
Also on display during the exhibit will be several works by the show’s jurors, Tony Lucciani, Brian Dalton and Ruth Mittelholtz.
