ALMA – The Alma community is hosting Journey to Bethlehem, an interactive walking tour, this weekend.
“In the midst of all the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season we invite you to come, pause and reflect on that first Christmas,” organizers state.
The tour will begin in the Alma Community Centre where visitors experience the excitement of a busy marketplace.
The journey then moves to the outdoors as visitors can hear from Elizabeth and the miracle that she and her husband experienced, listen to the exciting news the angels and the shepherds will share and visit the live nativity scene.
“Join the wise men and their live camel in search of the King. Re-imagine that holy night and reflect on the birth of that baby who came to change the world and what that might mean for you today,” organizers urge.
The event will be held Dec. 20 and 21. Tours run approximately 30 to 45 minutes. The first tour begins at 6pm and last tour leaves at 8pm.
Over 70 volunteers from Alma and area have joined together for this event.
Admission is free, however donations will be accepted to help cover expenses. Any additional funds collected will be donated to the Centre Wellington Pregnancy Centre.
“Remember to dress for the weather,” organizers urge.
