Johnson urges trust to build a better Canada

GUELPH – Former Governor-General David Johnson came to Guelph for a book signing on May 29 at the Italian-Canadian Club.

He spoke to the Guelph-Wellington Men’s Club, where almost 500 guests heard him promote the value of trust as a fundamental value for building a better Canada. He urged Canadians to value their teachers, protect democracy and continue to commit to diversity.

He said Canada should be a model of social justice during these turbulent times. Following his talk, he signed copies of his latest book Trust Twenty Ways To Build A Better Country.

The discussion was moderated by Guelph-Wellington Men’s Club member Tom Watson.
