ABERFOYLE – Interim 2020 property taxes are due Feb. 28 and April 30 in Puslinch.
Council established those dates on Jan. 4 following a report by taxation and customer service supervisor Michelle Cassar and treasurer Mary Hasan.
The levying of an interim tax bill allows for a municipality to raise funds to meet its obligations until the final tax rates are set, including the mandated tax levy payments to the County of Wellington and the local school boards.
Interim property taxes are billed at 50% of the previous year’s levy and are due in two installments: Feb. 28 and April 30.
The amount of the interim tax bill will be deducted from each property’s final tax bill for 2020.
