Interactive Rocky Horror showing at Crown Theatre

A showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show and live interactive experience will be held on Oct. 29 at the Crown Theatre in Harriston.

Audiences are encouraged to dress the part: dress and participate in a costume contest and join in audience participation traditions.

Newspaper, confetti, toilet paper, toast, flashlights, rubber gloves, noise maker, party hat, bell, and playing cards are welcome. Water guns and lighters are not.

Harriston native Chad Tailor and a live performance troupe will act out scenes while the movie plays.

Crown Theatre owner Raissa Rogers says she was fascinated with the Rocky Horror Picture Show as a teenager and was even more intrigued when she experienced the show live on stage in Toronto. Now, with a theatre of her own, she wants to share the experience.

To receive a $5 discount, pre-order tickets at the Crown, Harry Stone’s restaurant or the Uptown Entertainment Centre in Mount Forest. Participants are encouraged to arrive early and take advantage of the dinner special offered next door at Harry Stone’s between 5 and 7pm.

Theatre doors open at 7pm, with costume judging before the show.

The Crown Theatre is located at 23 Elora Street South. Contact the theatre at 519-604-4935 or visit www.thecrownharriston.com.
