The Insights art exhibit returns to Wellington County Museum and Archives (WCMA) this summer.
Displaying a wide range of original art, this annual juried show is organized and sponsored by the Elora Arts Council Insights Committee, and runs from June 21 to Sept. 3.
“Fibre art, photography, paintings, and three-dimensional works are all highlighted, showcasing the creativity of emerging and well-established artists in the county,” said curator Sandu Sindile.
“Insights is always a popular exhibit because the quality and variety of artwork is exceptional. In its 38th year, this exhibit is one of the largest and longest-running art exhibitions in Ontario.”
The opening reception is on June 21 from 7 to 9pm at the WCMA. The awards presentation begins at 8pm and the event will feature music and refreshments. As an added feature, the committee has organized a Walk with Jurors for June 25 from 1:30 to 3pm.
Admission is $5. The WCMA is located on Wellington Road 18 between Fergus and Elora. Galleries are open weekdays from 9:30am to 4:30pm and on weekends from 1 to 5pm.
