Cadets hold garage sale fundraiser

The 242 Ross Ferguson Squadron held a garage sale on July 14 and 15 in Hillsburgh to raise money for an upcoming trip to Europe for the 75th anniversary of D-Day. Members of the squadron will visit England for four days then cross the English Channel by boat and take part in the D-Day ceremonies on Juno Beach.

ERIN - Council will not be adding another crossing guard at the Dundas Street East and Daniel Street intersection in Erin for the upcoming school year.

The Town of Erin gave out awards of recognition to five Olympic and Paralympic athletes at its July 10 meeting. The award reads “the Town of Erin congratulates you on earning the right to compete at the highest level of athletic competition, the Olympic and Paralympic Games of 2018 held in PyongChang, South Korea.

ERIN - The town of Erin has adopted a citizen engagement charter to attempt to improve local public engagement. Communications officer Jessica Spina presented the charter to Erin council on July 10, stating it is a living document that has been in the works “for quite some time now.”
