Humane Society seeking information about dog found York/Watson road area

GUELPH – The Guelph Humane Society (GHS) is seeking information about a dog found wandering in the York and Watson Road area of Guelph.

The dog was found by a good samaritan at approximately 10:30pm at night on Nov. 23, and brought to the Guelph Humane Society early on Saturday morning.

The dog was immediately brought to a veterinarian for medical care.

The female dog, a yellow Labrador mix, was found with a large infected wound on her right shoulder, likely caused by a bite from another animal.

The golden-coloured dog, which is approximately two years old, is also suffering from severe untreated eye issues in both her eyes.

“We would appreciate anyone who has more information on this dog’s history to come forward and share what they know,” said Megan Swan, lead animal protection officer.

“We need to understand more about her condition and why she was wandering in an industrial area.”

Anyone with information that could assist GHS are asked to call 519-824-3091.
