Special day – COVID-19 has already made wedding planning a challenge, but when Nathan Bouwman’s mother went into hospital a few weeks ago, he couldn’t imagine getting married without her there. When staff at Groves Memorial Community Hospital got wind of the wedding-in-limbo, they leapt into action.
Nathan and his bride Melissa booked the gazebo in the healing garden just outside the new hospital. Nathan’s mother was moved to a room with a view of the gazebo. And on May 8, the wedding went off without a hitch, with mom looking on from her window.
