Flower arranging with Missy Manjin of the Harriston flower shop was featured at the flower and vegetable show recently held in the Harriston Community Centre Auditorium.
Don Mathews gave a report on the Ontario Horticultural Convention held in Cornwall. The society won first prize for their yearbook cover and first prize for the contents.
Wayne Pfeffer had the best gladioli and the best cut flower. He also earned the most points in houseplants and cut flowers.
The best rose was shown by Margaret Weber.
Alice Douglas had the best potted plant.
Earning the most points in vegetable classes was Margaret Weber, while Wayne Pfeffer earned most points in design.
Several people took home door prizes. Refreshments were enjoyed after the meeting was adjourned.
