The board of directors of Hopewell Children’s Homes appointed Daryn Kilfoyle to the executive director position.
He is currently the senior lead in Health Systems Performance for the Mississauga Halton Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) and will begin with Hopewell Children’s Homes on Oct. 14.
Kilfoyle has more than 15 years’ experience in developmental services and health care, having previously worked for Community Living North Halton, the Canadian Mental Health Association and the Griffin Centre.
Since 2008, Kilfoyle has also been a professor at Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning.
“We are delighted that Daryn can join us and look forward to working with him as Hopewell continues to grow and expand our range of services to help those in greatest need,” said Peter Barrow, board chair.
“Daryn is passionate about developmental services and brings a wide range of experience in working with partners and government agencies, all of which will be valuable for Hopewell’s future.”
Hopewell offers innovative and comprehensive programs at six locations in Wellington County to support families of individuals with complex special needs, by providing full time residential, respite, recreational and alternative in-home respite services.
