March Break is just around the corner and we’re going full steam ahead at the library. From March 13 – 18, it’s “All Aboard the Library Express!”
We’ll take you around the world, under the sea, and even into outer space with programming designed to challenge your mind and ignite your sense of wonder. We will be offering staff-led programs, drop-in activities, and some special guest performers.
Are you looking for some activities to do at home over the break? Board games are a great way to spend time together as a family. They have been shown to increase problem solving skills, creativity, and teamwork in children. Remember that board games aren’t just for kids. The laughter, nostalgia, and time spent socializing can provide adults with a much needed mood boost to beat those winter blues. Wellington County Library has over 200 board games in our collection. You’ll find familiar favourites like Monopoly and Clue as well as newer titles like Museum Suspects and Tapple.
Can’t make it in over March Break? We’ve got you covered for the full month with programming for all ages and interests. Visit our online calendar of events at www.wellington.ca/LibraryCalendar to view all our available programmes. Don’t forget to register, as space is limited.
