FERGUS – The new operations centre to be built in north Fergus is now estimated to ring in at $44 million, council heard on Nov. 5. That’s a steep climb from the original projection of $10 million in 2007 and a subsequent estimate of $27 million in 2021.
Kitchener residents charged after collision involving stolen vehicle
ERIN – Wellington County OPP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Trafalgar Road at around 10am on Nov. 12, and discovered two occupants of a stolen vehicle involved in the crash had fled into a nearby wooded area.
BlueTriton Brands closing; will sell Aberfoyle site
ABERFOYLE – BlueTriton Brands is closing in Ontario and expects to wind down operations by the end of January. That includes the water bottling site in Aberfoyle, which will go up for sale, a company spokesperson confirmed.
