HOLSTEIN – The Egremont Optimist Club is hosting the 26th annual Holstein Maplefest on April 9 and 10.
The event, to be held at Love’s Sugar Bush near Holstein, includes a wide range of entertainment in addition to the traditional sugar bush tours and demonstrations.
Ticket cost for adults and high school students is $10, while admission is free for elementary school students.
Visitors can take a hay wagon to the sugar bush where they will find all the activities and entertainment.
Saturday’s entertainment line-up includes: The Fire Guy and the Wild Ontario Raptor Show (three shows). Sundays events include: Four Paws Flying Entertainment and the Wild Ontario Raptor Show. Shows in the Big Tent run from 10am to 2pm both days.
Other activities at the festival include: candle-making and sheep shearing
Breakfast, including pancakes, sausages, beans and, of course, maple syrup, is available all day.
