Wellington County landfill sites and transfer stations will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day; and New Year’s Day.
Curbside garbage and blue box collection in the urban areas has been rescheduled as follows:
– Thursday, Dec. 25 collection is rescheduled to Monday, Dec. 22;
– the Dec. 26 collection is rescheduled to Dec. 27; and
– Jan.1 collection is rescheduled to Monday, Dec. 29 for urban areas and the rural Guelph-Eramosa collection area.
County officials remind residents that collection times may vary, especially during the holidays. To ensure not being missed, place user pay garbage bags and blue boxes to the curb or roadside by 7am.
