GUELPH – The Grove executive director recruitment team is thrilled to announce that Jeff Hoffman has been appointed as the new permanent executive director of The Grove Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario in Guelph Wellington.
Over the past 13 months as acting executive director, Hoffman and the Grove team have been working diligently to increase site awareness to youth by informing them about the variety of services the Grove Hubs offer.
This past year, the Grove Hubs saw a 30 per cent year-over-year growth in clinical services.
This increase demonstrates that youth are accessing support services more than ever before.
Hoffman has been instrumental in leading the Grove during this significant phase of growth, officials state in a press release.
“We have witnessed Jeff’s ability to manage both the strategic and operational needs of the Grove, develop strong government and donor relationships, lead equity and diversity commitments, and be strongly connected to the needs and passionate voices of youth,” said Helen Fishburn, CEO, CMHA Waterloo Wellington and member of the Grove partnership table executive director recruitment team.
“We have full confidence that Jeff is the right leader, at the right time, to guide the Grove’s vital work in supporting youth in Guelph Wellington.”
Last month, the Grove reported data showing youth accessing their sites had increased by nine per cent and youth accessing their support services increased by more than 30%.
The data shows an increasing number of youth have become comfortable accessing help, which can be attributed to the Grove’s ongoing commitment to building trust and rapport with youth.
When asked, over 50% of youth said without the Grove, they wouldn’t have gone anywhere or talked to anyone for support.
