Dr. Michael Tompkins is a licensed psychologist specializing in the treatment of hoarding disorder, anxiety disorders and other obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorders.
Day 1: Oct. 3 – Harm Reduction Planning for Hoarding Disorder:
This workshop has been designed for service providers seeking practical strategies using the harm reduction process, assessing harm potential, and developing and managing a harm reduction plan when working with individuals who struggle with hoarding disorder. This session is focused on practical approaches to supporting people with hoarding issues and builds on previous workshops offered by the Wellington Guelph Hoarding Network.
Day 2: Oct. 4 – Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) for Hoarding Disorder:
This workshop is designed for service providers seeking to understand the essential features of the cognitive behavioral model of hoarding behaviors including how to evaluate and develop a treatment plan for hoarding disorder with cognitive and behavioral strategies used to treat the condition. It is not necessary to have previous experience using cognitive behavior therapy to attend this session.
