CENTRE-WELLINGTON – Mimosa Church is again offering Food For Thought a historical lecture and dinner series called Wonders of Historic Cities.
Dinner is limited to 50 persons, so book by calling June Switzer at 519-855-4201 or jswitzer@sentex.net by the Saturday before each date:
– Oct. 23, York – Wool and Prayer – Vikings and Merchants;
– Oct. 30, Avignon – The Babylonian Captivity – Papal Splendor;
– Nov. 6, Carcassonne – Fortress of the Languedoc-Cathars and Crusaders; and
– Nov. 13, Dubrovnik – Pearl of the Adriatic – City of Seven Flags.
Lectures are free at 7:30pm and open for all to drop in without calling ahead.
For those attending the dinner at 6:30pm as well, a free will offering for the church’s work is requested.
