HILLSBURGH — The Hillsburgh Garden Club’s spring plant sale takes place on May 18, and organizers say a wide selection of annuals, perennials, heirloom tomato plants, hanging baskets and more will be featured.
Funds raised will beautify Hillsburgh, encourage gardeners, and help members grow their techniques through workshops and presentations, organizers say.
Experienced gardeners will be on hand to answer questions and assist with plant selections.
A children’s table will be available for budding greenthumbs.
“The Hillsburgh Garden Club Plant Sale is a true team effort,” said sale chair Shari Penty in a press release, noting many of the plants are locally grown by club members.
“Due to the wide variety of plants offered, the sale is always well attended, and plants sell out quickly,” Penty said.
The event takes place from 8:30am to 1pm at 9042 Wellington Rd 22, outside of Hillsburgh, between the 3rd and 4th lines.
Parking is road-side, and cash or etransfer payments will be accepted.
