Puslinch councillor Susan Fielding said she recently received some good News during an unsolicited phone call from Minister of Transportation Jim Bradley.
Fielding told council last week that Bradley called to inform her the Highway 6 realignment around Morriston will be included in the ministry’s five year plan.
She said Bradley relayed that the project is “very high” on the priority list for the province. Another ministry staff member told her the township made a very good impression during its meeting with Bradley last month at the Rural Ontario Municipal Association and Good Roads Conference.
“Now we’ll just wait and see what happens,” Fielding said. That should be nothing new for township officials, who have lobbied for decades for the Highway 6 improvements.
