Juanita Clayton Gibson was born in Grand Valley, July 11, 1917 to parents Albert and Mabel Clayton. As the family consisted of 11 children, she often wonders how her parents gave their family so much. During the war, Juanita worked at the Beatty Brothers Plant in Fergus, making shells for combat.
On Nov. 23, 1946 Juanita married Alymer Gibson at the Manse in Arthur. They farmed in the Conn Area of West Luther.
In the 1960s they moved to Guelph.
At 91 Juanita, sold her home, and moved to Highland Manor in Fergus.
With her life’s great attitude and determination, she made her new life, and new friends. She will tell you that she couldn’t have moved to a better place, and appreciates the great meals, and staff.
