WELLINGTON COUNTY – Following a successful Messages4Hope campaign in the fall, Here4Hope is launching a special Messages4Hope for the Holidays campaign.
Messages4Hope, which ran between Oct. 19 and 28, encouraged community members to send postcards – real or virtual – to support a sense of belonging and connection.
The campaign distributed 46,000 printed postcards throughout Wellington County, while the online campaign had a digital reach of almost 40,000.
“The campaign’s goal was to draw attention to the power of connection and the holidays are a time when many people reach out to friends, family and colleagues,” stated Cecilia Marie Roberts, Here4Hope project lead, in a Dec. 9 press release.
“We thought a special holiday edition of our messages4hope postcards made a lot of sense.”
Noting that public health is advising people not to gather with anyone outside their own household, officials say, “This means we need to find new ways to connect with each other.
“With three different holiday-themed cards and social media content, the Messages4Hope for the Holidays campaign encourages people to connect with family and friends by sharing a holiday message of hope.”
Three holiday cards can be found at www.messages4hope.ca.
Ideas on how to spread hope and enjoy the holidays in a safe way will be featured on Here4Hope’s social media channels from Dec. 14 to 21.
