CENTRE WELLINGTON – Wellington County, in partnership with the Community Mental Health Association of Waterloo-Wellington and the OPP, are hosting the second annual Here4Hope event next month.
Described as “a conversation about mental health and suicide in Wellington County”, the event will be held on Dec. 3 from 6:30 to 8:30pm at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex.
The keynote speaker will be Cheryl Pounder, two-time Olympic gold medalist and six-time world champion with the Canadian national women’s hockey team. Individuals touched by suicide will share insights in a panel discussion. Support resources in the community will also be featured, organizers note.
Everyone is welcome to attend the event and admission is free.
