HENSALL – Hensall Co-op is offering grants through its Strong Communities Initiative.
The initiative provides a one-time grant for projects filling a community need, with priority given to those focusing on community health and healthy living, states a press release.
A $10,000 grant will be awarded for projects completed by a non-profit, registered charity which has operated for longer than a year.
Officials state organizations which have not received a large-scale sponsorship/donation in the past five years will be given priority.
“Our employees have identified that community health and healthy living are important to them,” the release states.
Applicants must be registered with Canada Revenue Agency as a charity, have a bank account in its name and have been operating for over 12 months.
More details related to eligibility criteria are outlined in an application form, available at https://hensallco-op.ca/blog/strong-communities-initiative-2023.
The application deadline is May 31.
Founded in 1937, Hensall Co-op is the 8th largest non-financial co-operative in Canada and is owned by 6,000 farm members across Canada.
