WELLINGTON COUNTY – The Wellington County Museum and Archives (WCMA) has been nominated for an award and needs the community to vote in order to win.

Recently, Attractions Ontario announced the nominations for the 9th Annual Ontario’s Choice Awards and the local museum was named as a finalist in two categories:
– Top Museum/Art Gallery/Historic Site; and
• Top Small Museum/ Art Galleries/ Historic Sites .
What makes the Ontario’s Choice Awards unique is the way in which winners are chosen – by the people who visit and vote for them, officials say.

Residents and visitors can vote for the WCMA in both categories, once a day, until September 8.
The attraction that receives the most votes across all categories will be declared the Attraction of the Year at the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario Summit in October.
Vote daily for the WCMA daily at www.attractionsontario.ca/ontarioschoice until Sept. 8.
