ALTON – If you’re looking for handmade, beautifully crafted and thoughtfully created gifts to give to that special someone this Christmas season, you must come and shop the vast array of unique, original works, in a multitude of mediums, by 20 wonderful artists and artisans at the 2021 Artful Giving Show on now at the Headwaters Gallery at the Alton Mill Arts Centre.
It’s an excellent opportunity to shop local, support artists and enjoy a relaxing shopping experience, officials say. Better yet, the wide price range makes it perfect to suit everyone’s budget.
The artists featured include Christy Obalek, Deb Dunn, Deborah Powell, Elizabeth Bryan, Eunah Cho, George Kuipers, Helen Duplassie, Hildegarde Sausik, Jennifer Osborn, Jolanta Jung, Marnie Cooke, Mary Perkins, Michelle Eissler, MJ Brunet, Nancy MacNabb, Patrice Baker, Robert Allen, Susan Kelly, Trish Miller and Vivien Fleisher.
You will find beautifully handcrafted jewellery, wood bowls, textiles, woodcut/lino prints, watercolour, acrylic and oil paintings, hand painted Christmas ornaments, cards and delicate ceramic creations and funky functional pieces all handmade.
These items can be found at the Artful Giving Show which runs Nov. 10 until Jan. 2.
