GUELPH – With less than 100 days left before the provincial election, the Guelph Wellington Social Justice Coalition is hosting a series of virtual zoom events to get voters ready.
“Join us to learn more about the issues we are experiencing, what the provincial government’s responsibilities and jurisdiction are, and what kinds of questions we should be asking candidates to make a more informed decision at the polls,” a press release from the organization states.
The coalition has organized four virtual events based on social issues facing the province:
– Feb. 16, 7 to 8:30pm – Homelessness and Poverty in our Communities;
– March 9, 7 to 8:30pm – Hope and Action: Rebuilding Our Healthcare System;
– April 6, 7 to 8:30pm – Education: A Better Ontario Starts Here; and
– April 20, 7 to 8:30pm – Climate Crisis and the Greening of Ontario.
These online events will be in preparation for the Coalition’s Election Town Hall event where voters will have the opportunity to hear candidates’ election platforms and visions for the future firsthand.
The Guelph Wellington Coalition for Social Justice is a non-partisan, non-profit community group.
