PUSLINCH – Guelph South Rotary made quite a comeback with their Taste of Italy pasta dinner event, held at the Puslinch Community Centre on Feb. 10 after a two-year hiatus.
Judging by the high energy in the Archie MacRobbie Hall, it was obvious that guests from other Rotary clubs in the Guelph area, and dozens of local residents, were enjoying the opportunity to come together again for a delicious meal prepared by Guelph South Rotarians, and to visit with friends and family, organizers say.
The dinner was a fundraising event in support of Sunrise Therapeutic Riding and Learning Centre, and other local charities.
The evening raised money through games, sponsorship and an auction.
When added to the online holiday auction held last fall, the event raised more than $16,000.
And swooping in at the end of the night for clean-up were members of the University of Guelph’s Rotaract Club.
The Guelph Rotaractors are running a fundraising Gala at the university on March 10 in support of the Guelph Children’s Foundation.
Guelph South Rotarians extend appreciation to all who supported Friday’s event.
