GUELPH – Guelph Police officials are offering few details about a recent incident that led to an officer being charged with assault.
On June 4 at about 2:25am, Guelph Police officers went to a call about a domestic dispute.
“As a result of the investigation a 13-year police officer employed by the Guelph Police Service was charged with one count of assault and subsequently released,” police stated in a June 7 press release.
“The member is not on active duty at this time.”
