The Guelph Little Theatre is offering a new performance space this year.
The Corner Stage is located in a corner of the Slater Lobby.
Actors, musicians, playwrights, poets, storytellers, lecturers and stand-up comedians among others, will utilize this small group performance area.
The stage will be launched at an event called New Year, New Stage on Jan. 17 from 7 to 9:30pm.
The evening will be full of fun for members, patrons and their guests complete with a cash bar, live music by local musicians Carrie DeMaeyer and DJ Thompson, and a silent auction, organizers state.
The money raised from the silent auction will assist in upgrading the box office space and technology.
Some of the auction items, including a Danby mini-fridge and a wooden Sleeman cooler, have been donated by season sponsors.
“There is no need to reserve a ticket or RSVP,” organizers say. “Just come out and meet new friends or renew old relationships.”
