It was an action packed day at Guelph Lake Conservation Area for Guelph Lake 2, the second such event in the annual schedule of the Subaru Triathlon Series.
It also marked the end of the season for this particular series as participants and spectators alike lined along the beach and along park roads to watch other athletes.
This time around the event included various age groups for the Sprint Triathlon; Sprint Triathlon – Swim/Bike; Sprint Triathlon – Relay; Sprint Duathlon and Try A Tri.
The race website lists Cody Beals of Fergus as coming in first overall in the sprint triathlon with a time of 1:19:12.50.
The Sprint Triathlon had 542 participants (362 men and 174 women) with an average time of 2:00:39:79.
