One-of-a-kind handcrafted items will be on display and available for purchase Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Wellington County Museum when a group of local fibre artists hold their annual show and sale.
“The event marks the culmination of year-round preparations by members of the Guelph Guild of Handweavers and Spinners,” says guild president Mary-Anne Dalkowski. “Our annual Fall Fibres Show and Sale spotlights the best work of a very talented group of fibre artists.”
Accessories, decorative and functional works of art, seasonal goods and fibre art supplies and services will be featured. Demonstrations of spinning, weaving, lace-making and related techniques will take place throughout the day.
The museum is located at 536 Wellington County Rd 18, between Fergus and Elora. The Fall Fibres Show and Sale will take place between 10am and 5pm. All members of the public are welcome.
