Guelph-Eramosa council is once again donating two $100 scholarships to the Kiwanis Music Festival of Guelph to be awarded to two different first-time Guelph-Eramosa winners.
At the Dec. 4 meeting councillor David Wolk asked whether the scholarship had been increased recently.
Director of finance Linda Cheyne confirmed the township first awarded two $50 scholarships and that within the last few years council decided to up that amount to two $100 scholarships.
Mayor Chris White said the amount may be reconsidered next year.
The Kiwanis Music Festival of Guelph provides local music students the opportunity to showcase their talents in a variety of different musical disciplines.
The 2018 festival will be held April 7 to 28.
