GUELPH – The Guelph Chamber of Commerce and the Business Centre Guelph-Wellington have announced a new strategic partnership to enhance business support and drive economic and social prosperity.
Officials say the partnership will enable both organizations to further their respective reach by collaborating on events and networking opportunities and expanding their services to support more local businesses through coordinated programming, business advisory services, and a co-location at the chamber’s existing downtown office.
“As an organization that’s been supporting entrepreneurs since 1999, our new partnership with the Guelph Chamber will increase our capacity to collaborate, share resources, and ultimately, help more businesses thrive and grow,” stated Kristel Manes, executive director of the Business Centre Guelph-Wellington.
Shakiba Shayani, president and CEO of the Guelph Chamber of Commerce, added, “Collaborating with our ecosystem partners at the Business Centre Guelph-Wellington will allow us to enhance our offerings to our members and in turn, will help strengthen their businesses to they can be their best.”
Over 97% of Ontario’s businesses are small to medium enterprises (SMEs), so this strategic partnership will ensure more SMEs have the opportunities and tools required to grow, scale, and solve problems directly affecting their businesses, officials state.
