GUELPH – The Guelph Book Bash Festival hosting a free, family-friendly event at the Guelph Farmers Market for their 10th anniversary on Nov. 3 from 1-4pm.
More than 30 local authors who have published in the past year will be there to chat with attendees, sign copies and offer their books for sale. There will also be storytelling and free books for children, a leave-a-book-take-a-book table, a book composting demonstration, food and refreshments for sale and live music by Midswim.
The event, presented by Vocamus Writer’s Community, will also feature many of Guelph’s micro-presses, bookstores, libraries, cultural groups, and literacy organizations.
While the event is free, donations to Action Read, a local charitable non-profit that provides literacy programs in the community are welcomed.
