GUELPH – The Guelph and District Multicultural Festival returns to Riverside Park in Guelph for the 37th edition on June 9 to 11.
The Multicultural Festival celebrates our community’s roots and embraces new cultures, featuring lively music, dance performances, cuisine, and crafts from around the world.
Be dazzled and awed as you experience the unique art forms of other cultures, organizers say.
This year there are two new features to help address parking issues as some 25,000 people decend on the park over the weekend.
First, the festival has partnered with the Guelph Coalition for Active Transportation and is offering free, secure bike parking for those who ride to the festival.
And second, on June 10 a shuttle bus will run every hour from the Wilson Street parkade downtown to the venue. Cost for parking is just $3 for the day.
“This new venture eliminates parking concerns and simplifies travel, offering a hassle-free experience travel experience to the festival,” organizers say.
The City of Guelph will also provide the Water Wagon, where visitors can refill their water bottles for free.
There is still opportunity for volunteers to take part.
