Early detection of developmental delays is the key to early intervention for a child.
That’s the message behind a community awareness campaign to be launched Oct. 22 by Growing Great Kids, a partnership of organizations that provides services to children in Guelph and Wellington County.
The campaign addresses the importance of assessing developmental needs in children to age 6 and how parents and caregivers can use a simple screen to monitor their child’s growth and development to identify problem areas.
The screening tool will be available at various locations including Ontario early years centres, libraries, child care centres, and through public health.
