Serious cash – Two cheques totalling $550,800 were presented by members of the Fergus Elora Rotary Club and Fergus Legion to Groves Hospital Foundation representatives on Oct. 11. The largest portion of $500,000 meets the Fergus Elora Rotary Club’s commitment, made years ago, to donate a substantial sum of money to Groves Memorial Community Hospital. The additional cheque for $50,800, raised from the Rotary Club and Legion’s “Catch the Ace” game, will help purchase an ultrasound machine for the hospital’s surgical suite.
