Centre Wellington Connections is asking people: Do you feel our community is friendly towards youth?
The organization is spearheading an effort for Centre Wellington to be designated as a youth friendly community through Playworks Ontario.
The group wants to hear from all residents. It asks that people send them their stories, examples of their programs, or other information that showcases the youth friendly nature of the Centre Wellington community.
Any youth or a parent of youth who are involved in a community program that supports youth activities, can add their voices and tell Centre Wellington Connections how Centre Wellington is youth friendly.
Anyone working for an organization that serves local youth, can inform CWC of what that organization is doing, descriptions of the agency, and its pamphlets, and outline the partners that group works with.
The CWC also asks that anyone with any insights on how the community can improve our youth-friendliness, to send it comments and suggestions.
All responses can be sent to cwconnections@gmail.com. "Youth" are considered those who are 13 and up. Any youths who would like to participate in this project can use the time spent towards their 40 hours of community service required for their high school diploma.
The CWC is seeking participation from all members of the community in this venture.
