The Centre Wellington Social Justice Committee and Elliott Bus Lines are working in a joint effort to provide public transportation between Fergus and Elora.
Public meetings on the move will take place at the Elora Legion on May 27 at 7pm and at the Fergus Legion May 28 at 7pm. Organizers are asking for input on specific stops to make the route convenient for commuters.
There will be a trial run of the bus service throughout the months of June, July and August, set for Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10am to 2pm.
The trial run will determine the possibility of continuing the service into the fall months, with an additional noon hour route from Elora, Fergus and Guelph.
Anyone needing rides between Elora and Fergus on May 27 or 28 can call the Community Resource Centre at 519-843-7000.
