Local hockey player Griffin Wilson was selected 15th in the first round of the under 18 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) draft by the Owen Sound Attack.
From Aug. 27 to 31 the team held its rookie and main camp where Wilson was signed to a standard player agreement.
Wilson had been playing centre from Huron-Perth Lakers Midget AAA when he was chosen as one of 53 players in the under 18 priority selection.
Eligibility for the draft included all midget players (2000 and 2001 birth years) not currently on an OHL team protected list who were carded with an Ontario-based Midget AAA hockey club.
